Architecture and details
- A wide courtyard (40×60 metres) surrounded by porticos and granite columns
- A mihrab from the 8th century CE with restrained stucco decoration
- The manuscript library holds a Quran written on gazelle parchment from the 1st century AH
- Two minarets 45 metres high visible from across the city
